«LEARNING TO WORK, CARING FOR ROOM PLANTS»

IN WORKING WITH SENIOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

One of the most important reasons for ecological problems is the low ecological culture of people, the lack of ecological self-awareness and a clear position on environmental protection. Therefore, one of the most significant ways to change the current situation in the country is environmental education. younger generation. (H.H. Moiseev, G. Ya. Yagodin)

Environmental education is recognized as a priority in harmonizing relations between society and nature. The goal of environmental education is the formation of an ecologically cultural personality, as an aggregate, of practical and spiritual experience of interaction between man and nature, ensuring the survival and development of man. This goal is consistent with the ideal of general education of a comprehensively developed personality capable of living in harmony with the environment.

The kindergarten is the first link in the system of continuous environmental education, so it is no coincidence that teachers are faced with the task of forming a preschoolers foundations of the culture of rational nature management.

The problem of environmental education of children age interested scientists, teachers at different historical stages. Essential in its solution are works C... A. Veretennikova, N. N. Kondratyeva, S. N. Nikolaeva, N. N. Poddyakova, P. G. Samorukova.

N.A. Ryzhova environmental education preschoolers considers it as a continuous process of teaching, upbringing and development of a child, aimed at the formation of an ecological culture, which manifests itself in an emotionally positive attitude towards nature, the surrounding world, in a responsible attitude to one's health and the state of the environment, in compliance with certain moral norms, in a system of values orientations. [four]

In modern conditions, environmental education is closely associated with the development of the child's personality, his activities, with the ways of mastering by the child different aspects of reality, including nature. The target guidelines for environmental education are the formation of an initiative, active and independent child, refusal to copy school technologies and forms of organizing training for organizing children's environmental and subcultural practices. [2]

Labor education of preschoolers - a purposeful process of forming in children a positive attitude towards labor, desires and skills work, morally valuable qualities, respect for adult labor. Labor skills: any practical activity aimed at a real change in the existing material being - not only natural, but also social. [2, p. 3-7]

R.S. Bure, V.G. Nechaeva, L.V. Kutsakova note that labor activity contributes to the improvement of the general development of children, the expansion of their interests, the manifestation of the simplest forms cooperation, the formation of such moral qualities as industriousness, independence, responsibility for the task entrusted, a sense of duty.

In the process labor children form a careful, caring attitude to nature. Joint care of adults and preschoolers about plants in a corner of nature is the main method of environmental education - a method that ensures the development of the principles of environmental consciousness, the formation labor skills and proper interaction with the nature of the immediate environment in children preschool age. [5]

We conducted a study on the problem of the formation labor skills in older preschool children in the process of environmental education. The purpose of the study was to identify, theoretically substantiate and experimentally verify the organizational and pedagogical conditions conducive to the formation of labor skills in older preschool children.

Experimental Work took place on the basis of MBDOU "D / s No. 18" city of Buguruslan. We have investigated the level of development labor skills in older preschool children.

Children were asked to water houseplants, loosen the ground, remove dust from the leaves, it was proposed to select two plants from the corner of naturewho need watering, loosening, cleaning the leaves from dust and explain why he chose these plants... The child had to answer what they would be plants after, like he looks after them.

The child was asked to list the sequence labor actions and explain the need for such a sequence. When difficulties the child was offered a set of pictures with an image labor operationswhich he must decompose sequentially.

We invited children to select what they need for labor equipment... They put them in a situation of choice. Along with the necessary tools and equipment, equipment was proposed that was unnecessary for this labor process (e.g. a landing net for fish transfer).

The child was asked to show how he would take care of plants: water properly plants, loosen the soil, remove dust from the leaves plants.

During the study, we determined: a wish senior preschoolers to work in a corner of nature, motives, nature of behavior in the process work: whether the process is being evaded labor participate in labor only with a teacher or whether they help other children on their own.

The results of the study showed that the average indicator of a high level of formation labor skills in children was only 10%. Work in nature turned out to be not so important for children. Children do not know how to systemically work, but only perform labor orders... They are distracted during work, do not follow through. At the same time, they know where the equipment for labor, but they do not know how to organize space, choose an easy task, refusing to do what they do not like to do.

The results obtained indicated the need for targeted work on the formation of labor skills in children... We moved on to conducting a formative experiment, the purpose of which was to improve the process of forming labor skills in a corner of nature to care indoor plants in older preschool children.

We were developed ecological project "Learning to work, caring for indoor plants". For the successful implementation of project activities in the upbringing and educational process, we needed serious preparation for the organization of design, methodological, didactic and material and technical support.

we developed a health map of indoor plantswhere children marked their appearance with icons on a daily basis. A green icon means that the plant looks good, red - bad, provided urgent assistance. Conducted classes «Houseplants» in order to consolidate and systematize children's knowledge about plants.Picked up didactic games: "Find by description", "What do you mean where is growing "Ambulance for plants».

IN work on the formation of labor skills in the process of environmental education, intelligible and convincing living samples, a true example of labor... Life visualization provided the greatest clarity of children's ideas about the natural world.

In the process of further conversations, through the stories of the educator, we clarified, consolidated the knowledge gained, using visual methods, skillfully combining them with verbal ones.

Told children fairy tales about indoor plants: "Azalea and the white cat", "Home Garden", "Noble ivy", "Who is more beautiful", together with children discussed what they read.

We created with children calendar of observations, legends taught how to draw icons and marked those children who are children worked well, showed independence, accurately painted squares, developed an interest in observing nature, plants in a corner of nature, organized an exhibition indoor plants.

Drew the children's attention to the fact that if we were to take care of plants wrong, they will not bloom, so we will water the flowers in moderation, we first checked the dryness of the soil in the pot. We asked the children to choose the flowers for which they would like look after and assigned them to them. During the shift, the children learned to water plantswhen the ground is dry to the touch, light. To water plants it is possible only with warm water, which has been in the watering cans since yesterday.

They read fiction to children, which contributed to the formation of the child's ideas about adult labor, fostering respect for him (M. B. Ulatova "Learn the craft", M. Volkonsky "Who is not works, he does not eat ", V.V.Mayakovsky "Who to be", E. A. Blaginina "Do not bother me work», V. T. Korzhikov "Stories about the taiga doctor".) Conversations were held about the meaning labor in nature, about what and how has changed after proper care of flowers in a corner of nature. Considering increased experience of children in the older group, their knowledge and skills, we used the show less often, provided children with greater independence.

As a result of organized work we noticed that the children began to treat their labor orders... Many began to check dry or wet soil in a pot, willingly took part in the watch.

We again diagnosed the level of formation in children labor skills... Children have learned work neatly, in a certain sequence, bring the matter to the end, handle the tools correctly labor and materials... Average indicator of a high level of formation labor skills in children was 60%.

Children have developed a strong interest in labor, a wish work... The main achievements of children were labor skills: children learned to water plants, loosen the ground, remove dust from the leaves. Children could find plantsin need of care. Children told how they can change plantsif it is correct behind them look after... Correctly selected equipment for performing labor assignments... The formation of practical skills and abilities in children in a variety of activities made it possible to make children's attitude to nature not contemplative, but consciously effective.

The course of the lesson.

1. Motivational - indicative stage

The teacher draws the attention of children to plants in a corner of nature.

- Guys, this morning, when I came to the group, I saw that new flowers appeared in our group, they are very beautiful, but something is wrong with them. They are kind of sad.

The purpose of the work of children on occupations: help children get to know indoor plants.

Educator: Guys, what do you think happened to them?

Children's answers (They are thirsty)

Educator: - Maybe they are sad, because no one is behind them looks after.

Educator: - What do you think, are living beings plants? Does it hurt them?

Children's answers (Yes alive, and plants hurt too)

Educator: - Yes, scientists have found that plant worryif something else is broken next to it. They hear music, love affectionate hands and conversation. Let's turn on beautiful music for them, and tell them kind and affectionate words, (children take turns saying affectionate words plants)

Educator: - Is it possible to see without words that a tree, a flower, a bush is bad? (Of course, if you have a good heart and love to help.)

Place your palm on your heart. Knocking? It means that he is calling to help the weak!

Today we will help our plants, take care of them... But first, let's take a closer look. See what plants are on my desk? (Aloe, violet, balsam.)

Educator: - This is what plant? (Aloe)

Educator: - What are his leaves? (Elastic, thick, prickly.)

Educator: - And the balsam?

Children's answers (Small, soft, thin.)

Children's answers (Thick, fleecy.)

Educator: - Iron the leaves.

Educator: - Who knows why aloe has such thick leaves? (Answers of the children.)

Educator: - This is because in nature aloe is growing in arid areas where rain is very rare. Water accumulates in the leaves of aloe (break the leaf, show the release of juice, so it can live a long time without water.

And balsam has small, thin leaves. It grows in placeswhere it rains frequently and does not need a supply of water. Violet as well as aloe, grows naturally in Africawhere rain is rare, so it also accumulates water in its fleshy leaves.

Let's remember the rules of caring with you indoor plants (Loosen, water, wipe, spray, peel the leaves, transplant once a year.) And now I suggest you play a game "Name the equipment for the care plants» (the children are called - the teacher shows.)

Educator: - Now it's time to help our plants... Let's define the order of work. (the teacher together with the children name the stages and hangs pictures depicting actions on the magnetic board, that is, the algorithm is determined)

Educator: - What do we do first? (Loosen the ground.) Why do you need to do this?

Children's answers (So that air and water flow to the roots.)

Educator: - And how to loosen?

Children's answers (Start from the edge of the pot, loosen deeper here, and closer to the trunk - not deep, so as not to injure the roots.)

Educator: - Look guys, how Olya, Sasha and Artem will loosen the earth and remember. They loosen with the narrow end of the stick, neatly, well done.

Educator: - And now, look at plants leaves dusty... Do you think it is necessary to remove dust from the leaves? Why? (To plant breathed and absorbed light.) Look, the aloe fox is smooth, thick, how we can remove dust from it. (Wipe with a cloth.) Danil, Edik, take rags, wet them in water, squeeze well and wipe each leaf.

Educator: - Children, do you think you can wipe the balsam leaves with a cloth? Why?

Children's answers (The leaves are small, small, tender, and there are many of them.)

Educator: - Yes, if we wipe them, we will damage them.

Educator:- Such plants need to be sprayed... Let's put the flower in a bowl so as not to splatter the table. Cover the earth with oilcloth so as not to blur it.

Educator: - Christina, Katya, here are the sprayers, spray gently, all the leaves.- Look at the violet: her leaves are fluffy, water, if sprinkled on her leaves, will roll down, and the violet does not like when its leaves are wet, they will then begin to rot.

Educator: - Who knows how to help a violet to remove dust from the leaves? Children's answers (Clean with a brush.)

Educator: - Alena, Dasha, Kirill - take the brushes and gently brush each leaf with a brush.

Educator: - What else have we forgotten to do for our plants?

Educator: - Who can tell how to water the aloe? (Rarely, when the soil in the pot is completely dry, you cannot pour too much water.) Zhenya, you need very little fields, water.

Educator: - And how should balsam be watered?

Children's answers (He needs to pour a lot of water, water it often.) Masha, pour us some balsam.

Educator: - And the violet, guys, is very tender plant, she does not like strong watering and does not like overdrying the earth. It needs to be watered very little, often. Vitalik, fields, quite a bit.

Educator: - And also, guys, so you don't forget how take care of plants, let's put a model card next to each flower and repeat how look after.

Aloe - loosen, wipe the leaves with a cloth, water only when the earth is dry. Balsam - loosen, spray the leaves, water often and abundantly.

Violet - water often, but little by little, loosen, and clean the leaves with a brush.

Educator: - Look how clean, shiny and beautiful our flowers have become, and most importantly, their sadness has passed, because they know that there are good guys in our group who will always help them.

4. Reflective - evaluative stage.

Educator: - Let's remember how we helped plants?

Educator: - What rules do we follow so that trouble does not happen to our plants?

- Speak affectionate and kind words.

- Take care of plants.

- Don't be lazy. - Be hard working.

Educator: - How do you understand the proverb "Patience and work will grind everything"? What other proverbs about labor do we know? (children's answers)

Educator: - Now let's play researchers - experimenters.

Educator: - Guys, here we say that the plant needs water, they are "Drink" water. How can we check this?

This can be verified by experience. Let's put an aster flower in red tinted water (children dilute paint in water and put a flower)... And tomorrow we'll see if the stem turns red, then plant really "Drinks" water, and he needs water.

    How to grow ampelous plants

The easiest option is to purchase flowerpots and pots with already blooming ampels in a specialized store. In this case, it remains only to arrange the flowers on the site, decorating them in a single composition.

It is much more difficult to grow flowers from seeds. Indeed, for the correct combination of ampels, you need to know exactly what will grow from these seeds.

First, the seeds are sown in separate boxes to grow seedlings from them. When the plants get stronger, they are transplanted to a permanent place. A number of rules must be followed here:

    • each amelian flower needs its own soil: some plants like loams, others need peat, for others, the nutritional value of the soil is more important. Information on the required soil composition can be found on the seed package.Or prepare a universal ampel substrate based on purchased soil and peat.
    • Flowers in pots need to be watered more often than plants in flower beds. The following rule applies here - the smaller the flowerpot, the more often and more abundantly the ampels will have to be watered. Many ampelous flowers need watering twice a day.
    • So that weed seeds do not get into the pots, and the earth does not dry out by the sun and wind, the soil in the pots is mulched after planting seedlings in them.
    • Hanging planters, baskets and pots should be filled with light substrates. In some cases, it is allowed to use gel balls, floral sponges and other devices to retain moisture. Coconut fiber is considered the most optimal substrate option.
    • The soil for ampelous plants must be drained. At the bottom of the pots and flowerpots, it is necessary to lay fragments of earthenware or small pebbles. Hanging planters must be equipped with a drainage hole.
    • If you need to decorate the balcony or windows of the upper floors with hanging flowerpots, you need to choose undersized ampelous plants - long stems will easily break with a strong wind that blows at a height.
    • It is important to keep free space between ampels, they should not be cramped. You can plant no more than 5 plants in one medium-sized flowerpot (about 30 cm in diameter).
